With this dress it was an experiment with angles! I love the way this style uses a grown on sleeve to give the whole bodice structure, whilst creating dynamic lines which I've mirrored with the opposing angle of the asymmetric skirt.
The whole dress has been constructed from Chrisanne Clover dance crepe with an underbody in nude lycra. The skirt frill has a hem of wrapped crinoline to give it body and extra movement. I've focused the embellishment around two key areas: a fully encrusted section of crsytals which runs from the bust around the shoulder across the back neck and a chain belt style waist detail to bring out the angles again. Using mostly crystal AB sew on shapes and a variety of smaller sizes, I've mixed it up with some subtle placement of hyacinth AB to add depth and interest to the skirt frill join.
