New Stock Latin Dress

Velvet Leaf Applique
As we try to optimise the time we have during Covid-19, I see this as a great opportunity to get productive and add to my new stock dress collection. As we all mourn the lack of dance competitions and ability to attend lessons, dancers can at least still use the time to gather inspiration for their next competition look which we hope won't be too far away.
This new stock Latin competition dress was inspired by what to do with some smaller pieces of fabric I had that wouldn't on their own be enough for a complete dress. I often find that creativity occurs when your resources are limited and you have to think outside the box in order to achieve your goal. So taking a range of different off-cuts, I have made this unusual dress from Chrisanne Clover velvet and Lycra in a leaf applique style to combine the two wonderfully rich colours hot magenta and jade with ever-dependable black for a striking contrast.
With a stunning asymmetric neckline, multi-strap back and the cut-out waist feature this dress is great for the dancer who wants to show off their curves and loves the freedom of a shorter style.
In order to keep the emphasis on the stunning richness of the colour in the velvet I've just used Crystal AB SS20 to edge each leaf shape and some subtle Jet SS16 stones to lift the visible body sections. Would fit UK size 8-10.
