New competition dress inspired by Chrisanne Clover's Limited Collection Fabric

This dress all started with some inspiration from Chrisanne Clover's limited edition sequin ombre fabric. I knew I wanted to show off the dazzling shine by using draping, other than that this dress was very much a design on the fly using the mannequin to manipulate the fabric. Utilising the gold/green and black parts of the sequin fabric separately, I decided to expose the base leotard in an asymmetrical style and pick out some of the deeper hues of the sequins by choosing Jet B crystals to embellish the bodice.
The real finishing touch to this dress was the use of black Halo crochet ribbon as a draped strap and side detail. Each halo circle is covered in a combination of Jet crystals and oval Jet AB sew on stones, The double side channel is then split from the hip to mix in with the hand cut fabric fringe of the skirt.
Edged with a row of large black sew-on pear stones around the plunging neckline, this dress is one of my favourites to date!
