This dress has quickly become a favourite due to the dramatic stonework inspired by popular Art Deco patterns from the 1920s. Made from a combination of black velvet, stretch net, emerald satin and black georgette there are some fantastic subtle colour variations.
The skirt is a fuller than usual 8 godet design with rounded insertion points. The emerald green satin glints through the georgette as the light catches it, which will be super-effective on the dancefloor. The georgette layer is hemmed with emerald crinoline to give structure, whilst the emerald satin layer has a gathered crinoline finish to create the volume.
The bodice is a single piece of stretch net to give a seamless affect around the back and waist, enabling a flattering shaping of the velvet to be appliqued on.
The back has a dramatic centre strip with diagonal stoning to compliment the front bodice. We've used Emerald Ab and Crystal AB to bring out the emerald skirt and provide contrast. This stunning dress is finished with simple ribbon floats and a row of Crystal AB SS34 stones around the neckline.
