This Latin dress is designed to be really impactful with its striking colour contrast and detailed stone work. Using Chrisanne Clover stretch lace and crepe over tan mesh and lycra, the effect is stunning on the floor. The unique shape of the skirt creates lovely fluid lines, yet allows the dancer to play with the skirt panels and expose lovely leg lines.
I really wanted to maximise the effect of multi-sized crystals in this design. So picking out the flower pattern on the stretch lace I've used a mix of SS16, SS20 ans SS40 to add depth, and then paired that with a beautiful band of crystal AB on the waist and down the front of the skirt, highlighted with round rivoli sew on stones to really add texture and sparkle. Lastly the bodice is peppered with additional stones in Rose AB between the flowers.
The scooping back creates the perfect framework for two additional rows of crystals that bring the two parts of the dress together. One of my personal favourites, the growing popularity of the long-line dress looks set to continue on the competition floor.
