A fab mix of textures to create a lightweight, fluid design that moves with ease

This dress came about as I worked on a design to maximise the beauty of the larger scale Melanie stretch lace from Chrisanne Clover. A feature central panel that continues down into long points between the georgette godets means that the stoning shines right down to the hem.
By just using one layer of organza underneath with a combination of full and half circles give the skirt an amazing shape without the bulk of multiple layers for those dancers that prefer to keep things minimal.
The base of this dress is a nude powernet body with matt lycra panels from DSI. I picked up the point theme and carried into some detailed stoning on the wrists. Stones in Crystal AB and Hyacinth AB really lets the coral do the talking. The standout feature of the stones is the placement of the sew-on almond jewellery stones around the neckline and picked out on some of the lace pattern. The final detail is the feather boa floats attached to a fully stoned wrist strap that don't drown the rest of the dress. Movement without mayhem!
